Community Aged Care

Support for carers

Assisting carers so that they are able to provide ongoing support for their partner or family member is an important part of Catholic Community Services Aged Care services.

Caring for someone at home particularly those needing full time or high level care can be an isolating and exhausting experience. Taking a break is crucial not only for carers but also for the people in their care.

There is a range of support services for carers. These include:-

  • Overnight cottage respite - offered in a comfortable home like setting
  • Day services
  • In home respite
  • Carer social support
  • Counselling

In addition to providing respite, these services also provide an important opportunity for clients to socialise and participate in a range of social and therapeutic activities.
