Dementia Day Services go sailing!

Recognising the need for people with dementia to actively participate in community life, a regular summer sailing program has been introduced for active members of our Dementia Day Services.

Clients help with packing picnic lunches and wet weather gear, just in case, before boarding the bus bound for The Spit. The CD player belts out old favourites and everyone joins in on the journey to the water. Clients report it is "the best day ever" and the photographs prove the program has been a great success.
