Catholic Community Services has a strong commitment to evidence based practice informed by research and evaluation. We demonstrate this through:
A research agenda that is informed by our Philosophy of Care with a particular emphasis on community connectedness and social inclusion; strengths based approaches, enhancing independence, wellness and health promotion;
Research partnerships with other service providers and research institutions which have included the University of Sydney, the UNSW Social Policy and Research Centre, the Australian Housing and Urban Research Institute and the University of Notre Dame;
An annual program evaluation schedule that involves clients, staff, other service providers and funding bodies and incorporate research into best practice service models and benchmarking; and
A client outcomes measurement program that utilises standardised tools built into our customised IT system enabling us to collate results at an individual, service and organisation wide level.
Catholic Community Services is supported by a Service Innovation and Development Unit with responsibility for research, evaluation, quality and policy.
If you are interested in working with us on a research project please contact the Service Innovation and Development Unit to discuss potential research and evaluation partnerships with Catholic Community Services.
